We require 48 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, so we have enough time to offer your appointment to other clients who may wish to attend. If you do not provide 48 hours’ notice, you will be charged a late cancellation fee (100% of the usual session fee) or $85.00 for bulk billing clients.
Accounts are payable on the day of your session. We have EFTPOS facilities for your convenience. Accounts for missed appointment fees where the required notice of cancellation is not provided are payable within 7 days or they may be referred to a collection service.
In the event of default payment of the account with Fusion Psychology and Consulting by the due/agreed date, you (the client) agree to indemnify Fusion Psychology and Consulting against all of the firms costs and disbursements (including debt collection and legal costs), in recovering any outstanding monies due to Fusion Psychology and Consulting.
In the event that two appointments were to be missed, please understand that this may result in the cancellation of the service
Many private health insurance funds provide a rebate for services provided by psychologists. It is recommended that you contact your health insurance fund prior to your appointment to find out whether your policy covers services provided by the particular psychologist you are scheduled to meet with. If you have questions in regard to eligibility please advise the Psychologist.
In order to obtain a rebate from Medicare, your Doctor, usually your General Practitioner must complete a Mental Health Care Plan with you and refer you to a Psychologist. Once a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral letter have been completed by your doctor, you will be able to obtain a Medicare rebate of $84.80 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The number of sessions authorised by your Doctor may be less that 6 (or as specified). You must re-visit your referring doctor after attending 6 counselling sessions, to ascertain whether further sessions are appropriate and if so, you may be referred for further sessions with the doctor having discretion over how many sessions they wish to approve.
